About This Project

Deakin University has a relatively small campus in the regional city of Warrnambool, on the south west coast of Victoria. Cotter Reid Architects, were required to maximise the benefits of limited capital resources with the aim of this project to create a multi use learning environment that could be readily adapted to accommodate multiple tasks. Traditional “chalk and talk” classes,  problem based learning, seminars / workshops and video conferences are all able to be facilitated in the spaces designed. Two existing classrooms were refurbished with the resulting utilisation far exceeding the combined statistics of the previous spaces.
