Barwon Health North Dental Expansion (In progress)

About This Project

An open rooftop deck at the existing Barwon Health North building seemed a perfect fit for a new Dental Clinic facility, expanding their existing dental services in the Geelong area. Our challenge was to deliver a welcoming and light-filled clinic without addressing the north orientation due to a close-by site boundary and a multimillion-dollar Aquatic Centre under construction along its northern interface.  The design concept for the new 9x dental suites, interview rooms and integrated sterilising capabilities maximised  the use of clerestory & high-level windows across corridors and clinical spaces providing an abundance of natural light, that coupled with warm tones in its interiors, promotes an atmosphere of well-being and belonging.
